Comments

This Boeing 757-200 is usually used on lower capacity international routes. Continental has been very successful in using this plane to open up new markets. Currently, Continental serves the largest number of international destinations of any airline.

This particular configuration features the new flat bed seats in BusinessFirst, which recline a full 180 degrees, as compared to the former configuration in which the seats recline at a 156 degree angle. These flat bed seats are being installed throughout the 757-200 fleet currently and therefore are not, as yet, available on every flight.

The entire Continental Boeing 757-200 fleet has touch screen AVOD (Audio Video On Demand) installed in BusinessFirst and Economy Class, giving every passenger their ultimate choice of in-flight entertainment. Dedicated Power-ports for personal computers are installed in BusinessFirst, and shared for every seat in the Economy cabin.

New thinner profile Economy Class seats have also been installed at the same time as the AVOD system. The pitch remains the same but the new seat design provides more knee room with the seat bottom sliding forward as the seat is reclined.

Note: Continental is changing the row numbering in economy to standardize its fleet. This configuration has the new row numbering designations, which is being phased in but is still not in use on some airplanes.
