Comments

Concorde was retired from service in late 2003 and we are maintaining this seat map here for historical reasons.

Concorde offered one-class transatlantic supersonic service. It is said to fly faster than the sun, landing in New York earlier than its take-off time in London. Concorde cruises at around 55-60,000 feet, several miles above other airliners, so high that you can actually see the curvature of the earth on the horizon.

Mach speed and altitude in feet were displayed on Mach meters on the bulkhead on the left. The display on the right hand side rotated between Distance to Go, Outside Temperature and Speed in MPH.

For civilians, Concorde was probably the fastest they would have ever traveled. The transatlantic record from New York to London is still held by the Concorde at two hours and 45 minutes.
