Boeing 747-400
(Version K13)
Comments
* JAL retired the last of its 747's in Feb. 2011.This older configuration of the Boeing 747-400 is used on select international routes such as those between Tokyo and San Francisco.
JAL MAGIC entertainment system with AVOD (Audio Video On Demand) is only available on selected planes. Power ports are NOT confirmed to be installed in First and Business Classes, however, a laptop battery lending service is available.
First Class seats are first generation lie-flat pairs of sleepers. While JAL has two newer generations of First Class sleepers, these original first generation sleepers are still quite comfortable, although not as private as the latest individual pods and suites.
Business Class seats are older design recliners. These are not lie-flat sleepers and have a relatively tight pitch that makes it difficult to get out if the seats in the row in front you are reclined.
