Qantas Total Entertainment system with touch-screen screen AVOD (Audio Video On Demand) is available for all seats. 110V power ports are installed in First and Business Class.

First Class pods are lie-flat, but are a little narrow compared to the other top airlines' flat beds.

Business Class seats are slanted lie-flat, at an 172-degree angle. Your feet will be inside a footwell underneath the seat in front of you, and the window passengers will have to maneuver to get to the aisle. At least Qantas placed a built-in handle in front of your seat to assist you.

Note that Premium Economy Class was added to the Qantas' fleet from April 2008.

Economy Class's major improvement is the addition of AVOD screens for everyone, and you have complete control over your entertainment choices. An additional benefit is that since the movies end at different times, there is much less likelihood of people queuing for the lavatories at the same time, and those seated at the aisles are much less likely to be bumped by the queuing passengers.

Most passengers prefer the upper deck for its private feel, and for the exclusivity since very few people get to fly on the upper deck of the Boeing 747. The front of the upper deck is especially prized since the galley is in the back.
