Pan Am Clipper Pan Am Clipper
Boeing 727-200
Comments
** Looks like this iteration of Pan Am no longer exists. According to Wikipedia there is a new Pan Am, but they only carry cargo at this time.Once the most recognized airline in the world, the current Pan Am is a small charter operator with some scheduled service based in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
This vintage Boeing 727-200 is configured with two classes of service; note that the Coach seats in front of the emergency exits, rows 5 - 15 have significantly more (~ 4 inches) pitch. Also keep in mind that with three tail-mounted engines, the noise level is very high toward the back of the plane.
All of the major airlines have now retired their Boeing 727s, flying on Pan Am is probably one of the few remaining ways to experience this elegant airliner.
