Comments
Serving premium routes such as Singapore - Hong Kong - San Francisco, the Boeing 747-400 was Singapore Airlines' flag-ship until October 28, 2007, when a new era began with the Airbus A380 entering service for Singapore Airlines.First class has lie-flat sleeper suites, while Raffles Class uses slanted flat beds. Due to their incline angle, these slanted sleepers are sometimes called "wedgie" seats, since the tendency is for the body to slide down, while the clothing stays in the same place due to friction with the seat surface.
The majority of Singapore Airlines' Boeing 747-400 fleet is equipped with KrisWorld AVOD (Audio Video On Demand) entertainment system, giving all passengers their personal choice of in-flight entertainment.
Singapore Airlines has four slightly different versions of its Boeing 747-400 in the fleet. Version 1, 2 and 3 are almost identical, while version 4 is a leased version with completely different configurations.
Most passengers prefer the upper deck for its private feel, and for the exclusivity since very few people get to fly on the upper deck of the Boeing 747.
