Comments

Horizon Air currently has 33 of these Bombardier Q400 turbo-props, helping Alaska Airlines serve many lower density regional markets.

Configured in a two-by-two, all coach class configuration, there are no middle seats.

Bombardier claims that their advanced Noise and Vibration Suppression (NVS) system makes even the rows around the propellers relatively quiet; however, some passengers report that it is still quite noisy near the propellers and the engine nacelle blocks the view from rows 7 to about 17. The seat cushions are also reported to be uncomfortable and the seats do not recline.

Overhead bins are very small, so plan on checking your larger rollaboards at the gate. The rear doors are normally used for deplaning, allowing those in the back to get off just as quick as the passengers in front.
