I will fly to Brisbane, Australia from Abu Dhabi by Etihad Airlines. Which seat is it the best for me in economy class? We are 2 adults, 1 children, and 1 infant. I wish seats beside the window.

This route appears to be served by Etihad’s Boeing 777-300 ER with a single stop in Singapore for about 1.5 hours.

Since we do not have the specific row information regarding the locations of bassinets, please be advised that this information should be confirmed with Etihad Airlines: We believe that there might be bassinets along the windows at row 16ABC and 16HJK. There might also be bassinet locations in the middle seats, at 15DFG, 28DFG, or 42DFG.

If your infant is young enough to fit in a Bassinet, you should contact Etihad Airlines as soon as possible to request seats at the bassinet row. There are only a limited number of bassinets available on each flight, so act fast to give yourself the best chance of having the space. The flight attendant would provide the bassinet, and attach it for you, but make sure that you notify Etihad immediately for your bassinet, and do not wait until the day of the flight.

Since this Etihad Boeing 777 is configured in 3-3-3, with three seats on the left, center and right separated by the two aisles, it should work well for your family. The two adults and one child could occupy the three seats, with the infant in the bassinet.

Just keep in mind that since the bassinet is located at the first row, there is no underseat storage in front of you, and you have to find over-head bins for your carry-on luggage. The trays are in the arm-rests, therefore the armrests cannot be lifted, which make the seats feel somewhat tighter, especially around your thighs.

16C and 16H should have great leg room, since there is no seat in front, and the seat is into the aisle. However, beware that sometimes passengers and carts might bump into your legs as they pass through. During the boarding process, you might want to find another seat temporarily until most people have passed your aisle before sitting down, or be prepared to be bumped almost constantly.

Row 16 is also just behind the lavatories, so there will be lots of traffic and noise, and perhaps even odor. You should be able to board the plane early due to the infant, and deplane first amongst the economy class passengers since row 15/16 is the first row.
