I'm going LHR -> Beijing on a daytime flight. So, what seat would you people recommend for economy, one that has a lot of leg room?

Q (continued): First of all, I’m a silver club member if it makes any difference. I heard some airlines reserve the best seats for the silver and gold members but I’m not sure.

I don’t care much about the seat when flying with club world since most are the same though I always prefer the upper deck. However, this time I’m going LHR -> Beijing on a daytime flight as I thought I would use up the miles I gathered, some 250,000+ and in Economy. Unfortunately once you buy this ticket you can’t make anymore upgrades to it so I’m stuck with it.

So, what seat would you people recommend for economy, one that has a lot of leg room.

Is seat 39A on an British Airways 777 a window seat, or is it situated behind the last window?

We believe that there is one window at row 39, at a position that you could see out the window. There is most likely no window by your shoulders at 39A, and no cavity where a window is normally located.

I would like to know when British Airways will have finalised its modernisation to New Club World on their 777s on the Kangaroo Route (BA15/BA16)?

Currently, approximately 24 of their 42 Boeing 777s have been upgraded, with the remainder of the 777 fleet scheduled to be completely upgraded by October this year. Until such time that all of the 777s are done, there is no absolute guarantee that your flight will be operated by one of the upgraded planes.

I'm flying a British Airways 747-400 in WTP. I want to know which is best: 12 B or 12 G and why?

12B and 12G are both bulkhead seats, and have very similar characteristics. Here are the pros and cons:

No underseat storage in front of you

No one reclining into you, and you have pretty good legroom

One of the first served during meals

The E and F seats are usually last to be occupied, so 12G has a better chance of having an adjacent empty seat.

I would rate 12G slightly better than 12B, since 12B also has the following attributes:

The lavatories are just ahead, with the associated traffic, noise and perhaps odor

One of the bassinet positions, your seat assignment might be changed at the last minute
