I’m buying a new wheeled business briefcase. What is the maximum width I should buy to wheel it down the coach aisle on NWA A320 and 757? I’m looking at one that is 17″ wide.
I am sorry that the width of the aisle is not a measurement that we have been keeping track of, so we do not have specific data to answer your question. However, I have a soft-side shoulder bag/briefcase that I travel with, and when it is full, the bag is a hair over 18 inches wide. I normally use the luggage strap on my roll-aboard to secure this soft-side bag as I navigate the airport terminals, but have to detach it and hand carry it when inside a plane. If I leave the soft-side bag attached to the roll-aboard, it will be caught by the seats and cause problems as I try to walk down the aisle.
At 17″, the wheeled business briefcase you are interested in is slightly narrower than my soft-side bag, I think it might just barely be narrow enough to be able to go down the aisle. The briefcase will probably still bump into the seats. but most likely not be “stuck” in the aisle.
