I am booked to fly Singapore Airlines from Singapore to London on the A380. I’ve chosen seat 48D as 47D is missing due to the crew hatch, thus allowing more leg room.

Could you confirm that this is the case?

Also, which TV does seat 48D use? is there a seperate fold out TV in the arm rest or do you have to use the TV on the back of seat 46D!

It took a bit of searching, but we are fairly certain that the video screen is on the back of 46D instead of on a swing-arm. Here are a couple links of actual on-board photographs for your reference:

  1. I’ve just flown with Singapore Airlines from London to Singapore on the A380 and specifically booked seat 48d when I saw there was no seat in front of it.
    It’s a fantastic find.
It offers all the legroom you could want and is so comfortable on a 13hr flight!
The video screen is a fold-out type (as is the dining table) contained in the left arm rest of your seat.
The range of films, music and games on offer is very very good.
The in-air service was superb, the aircraft is very quiet and very comfortable.
I couldn’t recommend it more highly – and I have made sure to book seat 48d for my return flight later this month.

  2. I’ve just been & come back from Singapore on the A380 and I took care to book seat 48D.
The fold-out video screen and table are all located in the left-side arm-rest of 48D – the back of 46D would be too far away to be of much use.

Not having a seat in front is a genuine luxury and I couldn’t recommend it highly enough.
