I am going to take a MD-90 with China Southern soon. When I saw the review here, I am a bit confused. It says row 28 is good. I guess it is because the seats is the last row at emergency exit. But is it quiet, as the engines are located at rear. Should i take row 28 or the first row in econ class? by the way, why is 4C a good seat, not the other first row seats?

We currently only have the seatmap for China Southern’s Boeing 777-200, so I am a little confused by your comments and question.

I have searched through our reference material, and was able to find the layout for China Southern’s MD-90. It appears that the aircraft is configured with two seats on the left, and three seats on the right in the coach cabin. With the engines being in the tail, our preference is for the pairs of seats as far forward possible. As for exit row, row 22 is probably your best bet, since it is the second exit row, and should have full recline available and perhaps a bit of extra leg room. We would recommend avoiding any seats further back than row 22 due to the engine location and the wing being in the way of the view.
