I have been advised by Singapore Airlines that my flight from Brisbane to Singapore will be on an Airbus A330 (300 series). I reviewed their seating plan on their website but could not find a listing for this aircraft on seatexpert and wondered if you have a review available.
These aircraft are a new sub-fleet that Singapore Airlines is scheduled to receive, a total of 19 aircraft beginning in the middle of this month. The initial route these new A330-300 will be deployed on is the Brisbane-Singapore route, starting at the very end of March, to celebrate the 25th anniversary of air service between these two cities by Singapore Airlines.
We will create a seatmap for this aircraft as soon as we have sufficient reference information, in the meantime, here is the information we have:
Three pairs of flights are scheduled to serve this route, SQ 235 / 236, 245 / 246, 255 / 256. The A330-300 will be configured in two classes of service, with 30 seats in a 2-2-2 layout in Business class, and 255 seats in Coach in 2-4-2 layout. A new Business class design, specifically for regional and medium-haul operation, will be introduced along with this new aircraft, it is expected to be an angled slanted flat-bed design with approximately 60-inch pitch. All seats will have Singapore Airlines’ lastest Krisworld AVOD (Audio Video On Demand) in-flight entertainment system installed.
