I’m flying a British Airways 747-400 in WTP. I want to know which is best: 12 B or 12 G and why?

12B and 12G are both bulkhead seats, and have very similar characteristics. Here are the pros and cons:

  • No underseat storage in front of you
  • No one reclining into you, and you have pretty good legroom
  • One of the first served during meals
  • The E and F seats are usually last to be occupied, so 12G has a better chance of having an adjacent empty seat.
I would rate 12G slightly better than 12B, since 12B also has the following attributes:
  • The lavatories are just ahead, with the associated traffic, noise and perhaps odor
  • One of the bassinet positions, your seat assignment might be changed at the last minute
